About Azteca Negra: Azteca Negra is an Afro-Latin inspired art business, specializing in the creation of handcrafted, textile and leather jewelry and hair accessories. Azteca Negra is a celebration of art, color, culture, and self-care. Our art has featured at Essence Festival, Outside Lands, as well as in museums and galleries across California.
Duties: As the Administrative Assistant, will work closely with the founder in our art studio and will be responsible for the following:
Respond to customers via social media, email, and phone.
Data entry into accounting system, inventory system, website, and social media platforms.
Shipping customer orders.
Research wholesale accounts and vendor opportunities.
Organize the craft studio.
Order craft and other supplies.
Qualifications: The perfect candidate will have:
Great attention to detail, excellent time management and organization skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (2+ years).
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Experience with Excel is a plus.
Experience with data entry (2+ years).
Experience with Xero and Planoly/Hootsuite is a plus.
Availability to work in-studio at least one day per week, though some tasks may be completed remotely. The studio is a safe 10-minute walk from BART and located near bus stops.
Experience working with a small business is a plus.

Sales Representative (Part-time)
Job Summary: Are you a people person? Do you love working within communities of color? We do too! Azteca Negra is looking for an outgoing and fun-loving, part-time Sales Representative to join the celebration that is our cultural art. We are looking for a team member to represent Azteca Negra at 2-3 of our monthly fairs and festivals.
About Azteca Negra: Azteca Negra is an Afro-Latin inspired art business, specializing in the creation of handcrafted, textile and leather jewelry and hair accessories. Azteca Negra is a celebration of art, color, culture, and self-care. Our art has featured at Essence Festival, Outside Lands, as well as in museums and galleries across California.
Duties: As the Sales Representative, will work closely with the founder at fairs and festivals and will be responsible for the following:
Welcoming customers, responding to questions, and processing merchandise sales.
Recording merchandise sales in mobile system.
Setup and takedown of Azteca Negra booth display.
Organizing and restocking of items throughout the event.
Qualifications: The perfect candidate will have:
Welcoming demeanor with excellent customer service and communication skills (2+ years).
Experience with data entry (2+ years). Working knowledge of Square Credit Card Processing, Venmo, and PayPal mobile apps are a plus. Must have reliable mobile phone with internet access.
Availability to work on weekends for 8 - 10 hours/ event. Must have reliable vehicle.
Experience working booth spaces at fairs and festivals.
Bilingual English and Spanish language skills is a plus.
*Please note that this position requires you to lift equipment weighing up to 25 lbs, as well as to stand for prolonged periods of time.
